Our school is funded with a combination of tuition and philanthropic gifts. The tuition we receive from families does not fully cover the operating costs of the school, and it is through your generous gifts that allow us to continue expanding the educational resources and play areas available to our children. Profits from our fundraisers and monetary donations are used to support our mission of providing an exceptional early childhood education program for our children. Thank you for partnering with us in giving the very best to our children.
We have recently remodeled our main playground, which used to be referred to as the Rock Playground. The majority of the rocks have been removed with the exception of the Outdoor Learning Garden. This playground was renamed The Taylor Family Playground after our Gala in March of 2020.
Recent events have caused us to also explore making security improvements at Riverbend that would benefit the school. Our board approved to use reserved funds to put security film on all windows in the upper and lower preschool buildings, which is scheduled to happen during the week of May 20.
There is a need to raise funds to improve hardened assets including additional cameras, and updated door keypads with emergency response capabilities. Events are being planned for the 2024-2025 school year, and parent participation is crucial. All donations made at this time are being earmarked specifically for security improvements. We update our Amazon Wish List periodically with educational materials and other needed supplies. Cleaning supplies such as Clorox Wipes and Lysol are always appreciated! Sensory items are used up quickly, especially play-dough.
